Sunbury-Joseph J. Costello, 83, of 535 Catawissa Ave., passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
Born on February 5, 1941 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Americus Joseph and Mary (Frushon) Costello. Joseph was a 1959 graduate of Sunbury High School. He went on to work in the maintenance department at Kramm Nursing Home, Milton. After retirement, he spent nine years enjoying tailoring and the customers at Tony’s Tailor Shop, Sunbury.
Joseph married his wife, June M. Daddario, who preceded him in death. He was an active member of St. Monicas Catholic Church in Sunbury.
His love of music and playing bass in a band spanned over 45 years. Josephs greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter.
Joseph is survived by two daughters; Brenda M. Reichenbach and her husband Kevin of Sunbury, and Bridget Sirianni and her husband David of FL; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Reichenbach of Sunbury; a sister, Jean Smith; and several nieces, and nephews. In addition to his wife, and parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin and Mary Daddario.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Joseph will be laid to rest in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
